Sclerotherapy for Reticular & Spider Veins Treatments
How Does Sclerotherapy Work?
Sclerotherapy works by using a solution called polidocanol that is injected directly into the vein. This solution causes the vein to scar which then forces blood to reroute to healthier veins. The scarred and collapsed vein is then reabsorbed into your tissue and eventually fades away.
The brand of polidocanol that we use at Prestige Aesthetics Clinic is called Asclera. Asclera is FDA approved, and is high quality and also consistent in giving patients great results.
Additionally our office also uses the 1064 laser to treat small veins by using the laser’s light to destroy unwanted veins without damaging the skin.
